Circular construction (renewable building materials, renovation, reuse, recycling) brings longevity and resilience to the construction and real estate industries. W.CREATE has worked intensively with other leading experts in the Austrian construction industry as part of the IG Lebenszyklus working group Circular Economy 2025 to address the following questions: What is the status quo of the circular economy in the construction industry and how does it bring resilience to people, the economy, and nature?
The publication “Circular Economy and Resilience in Construction” edited by Gerhard Kopeinig and Eveline Urban-Supper presents 16 best practices for circular construction. W.CREATE was invited to present the Pachmüllergasse residential project, as it is an exciting example of a private real estate company that is taking steps toward circular construction in demolition and new construction. On page 9, there are interesting insights into the regenerative Pachmüllergasse residential project, which focuses on sustainable construction at all levels—ecological, economic, and social.
Sixteen inspiring best practice examples illustrate the circular economy in reality – from individual measures and products to new planning approaches. Immerse yourself in the diversity and experiences of the circular economy.
